Canopy Camping Escapes was founded in 2012 by friends Liz Henderson and Sonia Minnaar with a simple mission: to create unique, outdoor getaways that provide luxury and comfort in the heart of nature. Inspired by the desire for secluded, fully equipped glamping experiences where families could unwind without sacrificing modern amenities, Canopy Camping Escapes has since grown into a curated collection of over 230 handpicked locations across New Zealand.

Our range includes everything from luxurious tents surrounded by pristine landscapes to quirky cabins brimming with character and secret hideaways that offer one-of-a-kind experiences. Each destination embodies charm, magic, and a deep connection to the natural environment. We work closely with our hosts to create and select properties that promise an unforgettable stay, whether simple and rustic or opulently designed.

Based on the Kapiti Coast and operated by a team of eight passionate glampers, Canopy Camping Escapes is proudly New Zealand-owned.
