Canterbury Astronomical Society

Canterbury Astronomical Society is a non profit group of astronomers based in West Melton, Selwyn. The society runs a well equipped observatory and offers members access to fixed and portable telescopes, training and education. Members can attend monthly meetings at the University of Canterbury, practical astronomy sessions, lectures and social BBQs. The society also holds Friday public open nights from April to September and a Kidsfest programme during the July school holidays. Memberships start from $35.
