Castles Pharmacy, established in 1888, is New Zealand's oldest original chemist and has served Newtown for over 125 years. Located on Riddiford Street, they dispense prescriptions, stock over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and natural health supplements, and offer health checks including blood pressure testing and vaccinations. Services also include women's health, men's health, smoking cessation support, script reminders, and one of Wellington's widest ranges of wigs, including medical wigs.
