Charleez Chicken & Chips

Charleez Chicken & Chips is a New Zealand hot food brand supplied to independent retailers — dairies, superettes, service stations, cafés and bakeries — the length of the country. Rather than running its own stores, Charleez gives local business owners the system to sell golden fried chicken and hot chips under a recognised brand: equipment, packaging, menu and pricing, signage, and hands-on training in the store.

The food runs on Cosmo’s coatings and seasonings, developed and manufactured in New Zealand for consistency from one store to the next. Charleez is part of Jayen Food Concepts, a family-owned New Zealand company operating since 1997 and based at Ngatea in the Waikato, alongside sister brands Cosmo’s and Top Taste. Around ninety outlets trade as Charleez nationally.
