Coromandel Paddle Boarding

Coromandel Paddle Boarding offers lessons, tours and rentals at Flaxmill Bay and Purangi Reserve in Cooks Beach. Private lessons cost $55 per hour and group lessons $45 per person, with certified Surfing NZ instructors teaching beginners to stand and paddle. Tours run 1.5 to 2 hours and include options around Lonely Bay, up the Purangi River, or spotting stingrays. Paddle boards and kayaks are available to hire by the hour or day. They also run a daily ferry service across the Purangi River to Stella Evered Memorial Park.
