Gardner Road Kindergarten

Gardner Road Kindergarten is a welcoming, community-based not-for-profit kindergarten in Epsom, providing quality early childhood education for children aged 3–5 years for over 50 years.

Our experienced team of five fully qualified teachers provides a warm, engaging environment where children are known as individuals and supported to grow in confidence, independence and curiosity.

With an excellent teacher-to-child ratio of approximately 1:8, our tamariki enjoy a rich and varied programme that combines child-led play with meaningful learning experiences. From art, music, science, construction and carpentry to gardening, imaginative play and our extensive outdoor environment, there is always something to explore, discover and enjoy.

Our mixed-age programme supports friendships, leadership and learning from one another, while our Group 2 and Big Peoples programmes provide additional opportunities as children grow and begin preparing for their transition to school.

Regular visitors, special programmes, excursions and community experiences add another dimension to Kindergarten life, alongside daily music and mat times and plenty of opportunities for creativity, physical challenge and fun.

At Gardner Road Kindergarten, we value strong relationships with our children and whānau and pride ourselves on the friendly, connected community that surrounds our Kindergarten.

Children can attend from age 3, with a minimum of two days per week.
