The Independent Human Research Ethics Collective

We provide independent ethics review for research that falls outside HDEC and institutional committees: government agencies, private organisations, consultancies, funded-community groups and independent researchers. For non-funded community research, we refer you to The Aotearoa Research Ethics Committee (AREC). Our ethics education and training is open to everyone, whatever review pathway your research sits in.
