Kōhatu Kohara

Kōhatu Kohara is a Māori owned and operated carving studio based in Whakatū Nelson. Artist Joe Collins works with a range of ethically sourced New Zealand stone to create taonga, including pounamu carvings such as the Tapatoru, Toki and Horizontal Bar designs. The studio also offers the Hapūtanga Kete, a collection made to honour māmā, pāpā and pēpi. Orders can be made through the website or by messaging on social media.
