Step 1 ~ Indicative Baseline Screening Assessment ~ used to identify the presence or absence of methamphetamine contamination

Step 2 ~ Comprehensive Screening Assessments ~ involves further investigation following a positive indicative screening assessment. Individual analysis of all or some of laboratory composite samples taken during Step 1 will confirm rooms requiring decontamination

Step 3 ~ Detailed Site Assessment ~ This assessment, completes the requirements within NZS 8510:2017 to determine and to exclude areas from the decontamination scope of works. The number of samples from each area is dependant on the building, surface materials and size of each airspace.

Step 4 ~ Decontamination

Step 5 ~ Post decontamination assessment verifies a successful decontamination and ensures the property has met all the requirements of the standard including Step 3. A decontamination company must include a post decontamination report along with the clearance documentation
