The Millton Vineyard was New Zealand's very first certified organic and biodynamic winery, established in 1984 by Annie and James Millton in Manutuke, Gisborne. As absolute pioneers of sustainable viticulture in the Southern Hemisphere, they spent over four decades cultivating world-renowned, dry-farmed wines without the use of insecticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilisers.
