Origin Medical Recruitment is an owner-operated medical recruitment service based in Whakatāne that specialises in placing overseas and New Zealand doctors in hospitals and medical practices throughout the country. They work with doctors at all levels, from house officers to consultants, across specialities including anaesthetics, emergency, GP, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, pathology, psychiatry, radiology and surgical specialities. Origin offers a free service to doctors, guiding them through the process of coming to work in New Zealand, including visa and registration support.
