Plantation is a small and dynamic multi-disciplinary creative studio that collaborate with a diverse group of trusted partners to produce high-end strategic design and moving image in Aotearoa. At the core of our mahi is creating authentic, meaningful stories through the intersection of creativity, strategic design craft and motion screen arts. We work with clients, products and organisations that resonate with our creative, social and environmental interests. The core of Plantation is a husband and wife team of Creative Directors. Alex Sutherland (Ngāi Tahu, born and bred in Tāmaki Makaurau) is a highly experienced film and commercials director. He was a co-founder and manager of Thick as Thieves production company for 11 years, where he identified and fostered emerging directing talent. Georgia Sigglekow (born in Whakatū, with German, Scottish, and English whakapapa) is a highly accomplished strategic designer, well versed in expressing brands from the ground up, across multiple touchpoints. Georgia is a natural collaborator and is passionate about design craft built on solid strategic foundations.
