R. Tucker Thompson

The R. Tucker Thompson is a tall ship based in the Bay of Islands, operated as a not-for-profit, we take local rangatahi on 7-day youth development voyages. We are funded by summer tourism activity, grants and generous sponsorships and donations. In summer we operate tourism day and evening sails, profits go towards our youth development programme. The voyages are life-changing adventures, building confidence, developing teamwork and growing leadership skills for young people aged from 13 to 18.
