The Occidental

The Occidental Belgian Beer Huis occupies one of Auckland's oldest buildings on historic Vulcan Lane. Built in 1870 as a high-end hotel and restaurant, it serves a menu of mussel pots, seafood platters and European fare. The bar stocks rotating taps of Belgian and craft beers, alongside an extensive bottled Belgian beer collection. Staff are on hand to recommend beer and food pairings. Open daily from 9 am, the venue retains its original character and cosy pub atmosphere.
