Trapinator

Trapinator is a brand owned by Cmi Ltd and manufactured in Auckland, New Zealand. In the early part of 2003 a representative of Deparment of Conservation New Zealand, Darren Peters along with Phil Waddington visionary conservationist, engaged the assistance of Cmi who had aquired Curtis Springs. Darren Peters had been tasked with developing a new inovative trap that was humane on behalf of the Department of Conservation New Zealand. This trap would be required to target ship rats, Norway rats, Stoats, Weasels and Ferrets. All current traps up to this point had failed humane standards. Darron imported and tested a swedish designed trap which unfortunately would not set off light enough.
