Pou Kapua Creations

Pou Kapua Creations is a group of artists based in Wiri, Auckland who create taonga that keep Māori, Pacific and Indigenous cultures alive. They are known for Pou Kapua, recognised as the largest Māori and Pacific pou in the world, standing over 80 feet tall and carved from ancient kauri, swamp kauri and totara. Their work supports connection and creativity, and offers a safe space for building relationships across communities.
