Queenstown Toastmasters

Queenstown Toastmasters is your local branch of an international organisation that helps to improve public speaking and leadership skills in a friendly, comfortable and self-paced environment. We're really just a bunch of friendly folk who all want to become better speakers and leaders, and we work together to support and encourage each other as well as learn from one another. Participate in Toastmasters’ proven program, where you’ll learn how to speak comfortably in front of a group and lead with purpose. People who join Toastmasters find potential they never thought they had and achieve more of their goals and dreams. Attend meetings where you will regularly practice skills that make you a more confident speaker and leader. These real-world, highly in-demand soft skills will help you advance your career, acclimate to a new city or even get a new job! Toastmasters is a powerful combination of a proven education program where you receive effective evaluation that helps you build skills at your own pace. Plus, Toastmasters’ communication and leadership development does not take place in a typical instructor-led classroom and is not limited to a set timeframe, like a seminar or conference. Our club helps people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators and leaders. From young professionals to experienced managers to those seeking personal growth, you’ll find a warm, supportive group that shares your goals. Normally, meetings are every 1st, 3rd and 5th (if there is one) Tuesday of each month, except for a short break over the Christmas and New Years period. Our meetings start at 7.00 pm. Our venue is the St John Rooms, 10 Douglas St, Frankton. Use the Lakes District Hospital entrance, turn hard left and drive to the end of the carpark by the flagpole. Should I join? Of course! Why not come along to one of our meetings as we love you to join us and taste what Toastmasters is like. See you there!
