Matatihi

Matatihi is an economic research consultancy in Aotearoa New Zealand, led by Jay who holds a PhD in Economics. They help organisations prove and communicate the value they create, often in dollar terms, through impact assessment, cost-benefit analysis and value for money work. Their method, Whakapapa Economics, draws on both mātauranga Māori and applied economics. Clients include iwi, rūnanga and Māori entities, kaupapa Māori programmes, government agencies, funders, research institutes and purpose-led businesses.
